The Journey Begins

I used to think writing was something I had to do in silence.
Stories lived in my head like secret cities—bright, chaotic, half-built. I’d scribble down pieces in notebooks, save half-finished scenes in files I never reopened, and tell myself I’d get serious about it “soon.” But writing isn’t just putting words on a page. It’s learning to live in the rhythm of it. And lately, I’ve realized something: if I want to grow as a writer, and eventually create my own original world, I have to start showing up for the whole process, not just the semi-polished bits.
That’s where this blog comes in.
I’m not here to teach. I’m here to reflect. To document what I’m learning as I stumble my way through structure, dialogue, pacing, and self-doubt. Some days feel like breakthroughs. Others? Total faceplants. But I think that’s what makes it worth sharing.
Blogging about what worked, what didn’t, what made me want to throw my laptop into the ocean—might help me write more honestly and think through what I do and do not like in order to find my own voice.
